Several State COVID-19 testing sites will be closed effective Thursday, April 1, 2021, and resources will be consolidated to existing COVID-19 testing mega sites.
Officials share that, while the number of cases has slowed down, health officials urge the community to get tested at any of the free testing sites.
“Infected persons with little to no symptoms can still spread the virus to others and the people they spread it to may become seriously ill or even die, especially if the person is one of our most vulnerable residents such as our seniors, people with underlying health conditions and those who are immunocompromised,” health officials shared.
The following State testing sites will be closed beginning Thursday, April 1, 2021:
- Ascarate Park, 6800 Delta, El Paso, TX 79905
- Eastside Sports Complex, 14380 Montwood, El Paso, TX
- Region 19 Kenworthy Complex, 9776 Kenworthy, El Paso, TX
- ESD 2 Fire Station, 11440 North Loop, Socorro, TX
The following State testing sites will remain open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
- El Paso Community College Valle Verde Campus, 919 Hunter Dr., El Paso, TX
- Nations Tobin Recreation Center, 8831 Railroad Dr., El Paso, TX
- SISD Student Activities Complex, 1300 Joe Battle Blvd., El Paso, TX
- UTEP Schuster 1 Parking Lot (Schuster Avenue and Spur 1966 Roundabout, on the south side of the complex), El Paso, TX
The following State testing sites will remain open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
- Memorial Park; 1701 N. Copia; El Paso, TX
- ESD #2 HQ, 16001 Socorro Rd., Fabens, TX
- West Valley Fire Station, 510 Vinton Rd., Anthony, TX
The following State rural testing sites will be closed to observe the Spring holiday on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 and Friday, April 2, 2021, and will resume regular hours of operation on Monday, April 5, 2021:
- West Valley Fire Station., 510 Vinton Rd., Anthony TXÂ (also closed on Thursday, April 1, 2021)
- ESD #2 HQ, 16001 Socorro Rd., Fabens, TX
All State testing sites listed below will be closed Sunday, April 4, 2021 and resume regular hours of operation on Monday, April 5, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Sunday:
