Coyote Arena Soccer Action Takes Over El Paso Coliseum this Weekend

The El Paso Coyotes will play a special Major Arena Soccer League home doubleheader this weekend at the El Paso County Coliseum.

On Friday, February 1, the Coyotes will take on the Tacoma Stars, followed by a game against the Rio Grande Valley Barracudas on Saturday, February 2, at the Coliseum, located at 4100 Eeast Paisano. Both games will start at 7:15 p.m.

El Paso is now 3-6 after beating the Turlock Express on Jan. 25, thanks to the strong play of midfielder Hugo Puentes and his four goals and one assist. His efforts earned him a spot on the MASL Team of the Week.

Tacoma is 5-6 in the Pacific Division and in second place. In the Southwest Division, Rio Grande Valley (6-3) sits in second place, while the Coyotes are in last.

The Juárez Cuervos, the Coyotes’ newly created developmental team, will open Saturday’s action when they battle the Colorado Inferno in a MASL 2 matchup, set to start at 4:15 p.m.

The red-hot Cuervos are 6-1 with a six-game win streak and are in first place in the Mountain Division, followed closely by the 5-1 Inferno.

Tickets cost $12 for general admission and $18 for box seats, and fans can buy one ticket and get one free. They are available at the Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
