Coyotes seek to beat Atlético for First Win at County Coliseum

The El Paso Coyotes hope a rare Saturday home date will bring with it a change of luck as they continue to chase their elusive first victory in the Major Arena Soccer League.

The Coyotes will take on Baja Atlético at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the El Paso County Coliseum at 4100 E. Paisano. All general admission tickets will cost $12 and kids get in free with each adult ticket purchased.

The Coyotes, now 0-13 under new head coach Jose Luis Treviño, are eager to score a win for the first time in history. This is the team’s first year in the MASL, which represents the highest level of professional arena soccer in the world. The Coyotes will be leaning on team captain and forward Daniel Frias, who has 10 goals and 16 points, midfielder Omar Ledesma (11 goals, 15 points) and forward David Salas (12 goals, 16 points).

Baja midfielder Christian Gutierrez is having a stellar year with 41 goals and 51 points, which leads the league. Baja, 8-7, is in second and El Paso is in last in the Southwest Division.

The home game also will feature Max the Coyote mascot, the Coyote Girls, music, games, giveaways and more. Concession stands will be open.

Tickets are available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online. Doors open at 6 p.m.
