The Chihuahuas dropped five of eight on the homestand against the visitors from the American Conference North Division; Iowa won three of the four games in the series.

The I-Cubs entered play with the third-lowest home run total in the PCL yet struck four homers in the first three innings of Friday’s game. The loss sent El Paso three games back of first place Salt Lake with 36 to play in the 2017 regular season.
All four games of the Iowa series were decided by one run.
