Daily movie showings return to both of El Paso’s Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema announced Wednesday that beginning Memorial Day weekend, both of its El Paso locations will return to daily movie screenings – seven days a week.

“Nothing says summer like a big bowl of popcorn – with unlimited refills, your favorite food or beverage item from Alamo Drafthouse’s menu, and a summer blockbuster,” Alamo officials shared.  “And, once again, El Pasoans can enjoy the Alamo Drafthouse experience every day of the week at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Montecillo and the all-new state-of-the-art Alamo Drafthouse Cinema East El Paso, featuring the Big Show.”

Upcoming summer blockbusters include CRUELLA, A QUIET PLACE PART II, and IN THE HEIGHTS. All tickets are now on sale online. In addition to new studio releases, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will continue to screen classic films such as BLADE RUNNER, THE FUGITIVE, SERIAL MOM and TO WONG FOO, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING! JULIE NEWMAR.

Academy Award winner Emma Stone stars in Disney’s CRUELLA, an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinema’s most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil.

CRUELLA, which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. CRUELLA opens May 27.

From writer-director John Krasinksi A QUIET PLACE PART II is the thrilling follow-up to the 2018 Oscar-nominated horror hit. Emily Blunt reprises her role as a (now-widowed) mother who must protect her children from the vicious, sound-sensitive alien beasts that stalk the harsh apocalyptic landscape.

A QUIET PLACE PART II is a movie made to be experienced in a theater. And what better place to see it than the only theater with a strict No Talking policy and occasional quiet menu? (Sorry, chips and queso.)

Kids Camp kicks off June 4

Since opening its first El Paso location, Alamo Drafthouse has offered Kids Camp screenings during summer and winter breaks, providing families in our communities with a fun and affordable way to experience their favorite movies on the big screen.

Kids Camp can now be enjoyed each day at both Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Montecillo or Alamo Drafthouse Cinema East El Paso locations.

All Kids Camp tickets are $3 for everyone – little kids, big kids, and grownup kids, and each week brings a new selection, ranging from recent animated favorites to timeless classics. In June, families can enjoy classics like THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART, CURIOUS GEORGE, MINIONS, and BABE.

Regular no talking/texting policies apply and noisy families may be asked to leave.
