Deputies arrest duo after alleged plywood theft

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) announced the arrest of two men after they allegedly stole plywood from a building in far east El Paso.

According to EPCSO officials, on February 26, at approximately 8:00 pm, Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 15100 block of Purpose Avenue in reference to a building burglary in progress.

When deputies arrived, they saw what they described as a suspicious pick-up truck leaving the area of the burglary.  After stopping the truck, EPCSO deputies found 45 sheets of plywood.

The two men in the truck, 30-year-old Javier Navarro and 31-year-old Enrike Havier Navarro, were taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Burglary of Building.

EPCSO officials did not release any other details.
