Desertcats set to take on NM Bullsnakes for division title on Saturday

The Southwest Desertcats are wrapping up the inaugural season with the Pro Basketball Association this month, with a very special game on Saturday.

Finishing their season with another perfect regular season record of 10-0 in the PBA Southwest Division, it earned them the number one spot and will compete against #2, the New Mexico Bullsnakes who finish their season 7-3.

The game is set for Saturday, September 4th, 2021 7pm at Andress High School in Northeast El Paso.

Club officials share that there were 65 teams nationwide in the PBA and the Cats are one of 16 to be playing for division titles this Saturday.

A win will advance them to play for the title of the entire western conference September 11th here in El Paso as well.

The team is comprised of local talent from all over El Paso, and led by Coach Jesus Aragon. Since taking the team under his wing, Aragon has recorded an overall record of 35-1 with their only loss coming in the ABA Conference Championship this past spring.
