DMD Asking for Downtown Holiday Stories, Mistletoe Pics for Chance to Win Prizes

Downtown Management District (DMD) officials are inviting all El Pasoans to experience the holidays in the heart of the city.

This year marks many holiday “firsts” for Downtown El Paso (DTEP). It’s the first year the new and improved San Jacinto Plaza will be lit for Christmas and the first year  the new “WinterFest” is in the city’s heart.

Additionally, there are many traditions that will continue, including the Celebration of Lights Parade, and for the third year in a row, the DMD will hang a single downtown mistletoe in front of the Plaza Theatre.

With all the ‘firsts’ and the continuing traditions, the DMD also brings back last year’s social media sensation of pictures under the mistletoe.  Joining the photo contest is a Downtown Holiday Story contest, where residents can submit their best story for a chance to win prizes.

There are two ways to you can enter for a chance to win:

1.     Submit your Downtown Holiday Story to rvasquez@elpasodmd.org (The best stories will be shared on social media and featured in a DowntownElPaso.com INSIDER article on December 15, 2016.)

2.     Submit to us, tag us, or hashtag your picture under the downtown mistletoe! Message our social media: @downtownelpaso on Facebook or Instagram, tag us, or hashtag #EPMistleToeKiss (make sure privacy settings are set to public). We will also share winning photos on our social media and on DowntownElPaso.com.

Prizes will be provided by our sponsors:

Mac’s Place – Gift Certificates

Imperio Real Boutique – Jewelry gift sets

Krystal Jeans – Gift Certificates

Visit El Paso (Skate Passes for Winterfest skating rink)

The DMD will accept stories and photos for a chance to win giveaways until December 12, 2016.
