Dogs and their humans have one last day at the pool

Dogs and their human companions can celebrate the end of summer by cooling off together at the 7th Annual “Dog Day Swimming” at Nations Tobin Aquatic Center, 8831 Railroad Dr. from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 and Sunday, September 13, 2015.

Admission is $2 per dog and pet owners are free.  The Animal Rescue League will have dogs available for adoption and many other dog vendors will be on hand as well as hundreds of dogs per day are expected. Among the contests on both days are prettiest doggie bikini and longest doggie leap.

“Pet owners must bring paper copies of dog shot records in order to be allowed into the event as dogs will not be permitted with collar tags only. All shot records must show their dog(s) are current on Rabies, Distemper and Parvo,” said Wright Stanton, El Paso Parks and Recreation Aquatics Manager.
