Early Thursday AM Closure of Mesa at Baltimore/Glory for Overhead Wire Work

Officials with the Streetcar project are giving motorists on the Westside a heads up about upcoming trolley-related work.

During the early morning hours of Thursday, May 31st, motorists in the Kern Place area should expect a four-hour closure of Mesa Street very early on Thursday morning.

In order to install the cross-span wires, which support the overhead contact wires which will eventually power the streetcars, all lanes at the intersection of Mesa Street and Baltimore Ave./Glory Road will be closed between from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.

Motorists travelling in this area should follow marked detours.

In addition, Franklin Street will be closed to all traffic from Santa Fe to Mesa Streets between the hours of 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1, 2018. Franklin Street will be closed for continued streetcar testing.
