In partnership with the El Paso Animal Services Pet Pantry, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Community Services Section hosted a pet food giveaway on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

In drive-thru fashion, residents of the unincorporated areas of El Paso received free food for their furry friends courtesy of the Pet Pantry program.

Organizers share that a total of 368 pounds of food were distributed during the event.  “(It’s) your support helps keep pets with the families that love them,” organizers added.

Members of the community also received information pamphlets on topics such as vaccinations, spay and neuter, and a list of services provided at the shelter.

The Pet Pantry program hosts food bank events, delivery, and curbside services, to provide hundreds of pets with food every month.

Officials add that food donations can be made at Animal Services, located at 5001 Fred Wilson Avenue.
