El Paso Art Association, EPCC to host virtual Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit
The El Paso Art Association, in collaboration with El Paso Community College (EPCC), will once again host a Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit – with a virtual twist.
“Even though a physical exhibit cannot be held on the EPCC campus due to the coronavirus, we are thrilled to offer our first virtual art exhibit showcasing work of local artists featuring the Hispanic culture of the past, present and embracing the future,” EPAA officials shared.
Both groups have opened a call to artists that celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month 2020 through artwork and creativity. The theme this year is “Be Proud of Your Past and Embrace the Future”
The rich Hispanic culture originating from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America is vibrant and alive with music, food, fashion. This is just a small sample of the contributions’ and uniqueness’ of the Hispanic culture that is embraced by so many of us here in the borderland and around the world. We come to celebrate each year visually and now virtually through art!
