El Paso Community College earns Gold Designation for Work with Military

El Paso Community College (EPCC) was recognized with a 2020-2021 Military Friendly School Gold designation by VIQTORY.

“EPCC is committed to providing targeted support to veterans, military members and their families including clearing roadblocks to registration, developing clear pathways for degree or program completion, enhancing career exploration and improving networks for course acceptance and transfer,” Dr. William Serrata, EPCC President, said.

El Paso Community College officials shared that they serve over 3,000 service members, veterans and their families.

Now in its 10th year, the Military Friendly Schools list has come to set the standard for higher education institutions to provide the best opportunities for veterans and their spouses.

Officials say the VIQTORY  Military Friendly Schools list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources for more than 8,800 schools nationwide and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly Schools survey from participating institutions.

To achieve Gold status, EPCC’s score was within 10% of the 10th ranked school.
