El Paso County Search and Rescue helps injured hiker

The El Paso County Search and Rescue (EPCSAR) Team spent their Friday helping an injured hiker at Hueco Tanks in far East El Paso County.

According to officials, at approximately 1:30 pm, the EPCSAR team was sent to Hueco Tanks, regarding an injured hiker.

When they arrived, team members found an 30-year-old male who had fallen while bouldering and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

 “The team extracted the individual and he was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation,” team officials shared.

 The El Paso County Search and Rescue team is made up of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Horizon Fire Department, Montana Vista Fire Department, Clint Fire Department, West Valley Fire Department, Socorro and San Elizario Fire Department, and Parks and Wildlife.
