After a shooting in the early hours of July 11th in the desert behind Socorro ISD’s Student Activities Complex (SAC), officials with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) are asking the public for help and information.
On July 11th, shortly after 3 a.m., Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to 1300 Joe Battle, the location of the Student Activity Complex, on an aggravated assault shots fired call.
When deputies arrived, they found that 3 to 4 persons had been shot and transported to local area hospitals while attending
a party in the desert area.
A short time later, the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
EPCSO officials add that, as a result of this shooting incident, a total of three people received gunshot injuries and one person lost his life.
