El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Hosting Annual Car Seat Check

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting its 2nd Annual car seat check – up event, Friday, October 14th, 2016.

In partnership with University Medical Center of El Paso, and the Texas Department of Transportation, Sheriff’s Office deputies will be checking car seats for proper installation.

The FREE car seat check – up event will take place Friday, October 14th, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy parking lot at 12501 Montana.

Please bring your children with you, to allow Sheriff’s Office deputies to determine if their car seat fits them well; 4 out of 5 car seats are used incorrectly.

Please arrive early; car seats will be issued out on a first come first serve basis. Lines may be cut before end time if needed based on the availability of car seats.

To qualify for a replacement car seat you must be a Texas resident and low income to qualify.
