El Paso County Sheriff’s Office introduces remote video visitation for detention facilities

On Friday, officials with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Global Tel Link (GTL), announced they are now offering remote video visitation at both detention facilities.

“[The system is] providing family, friends and professional visitors a convenient, accessible way to stay connected with individuals incarcerated within our detention system,” EPCSO officials shared.

Family and friends can utilize the at-home video visitation via the following website. Officials say this allows visitors to conduct their regular visitation sessions through most PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones (Android or Apple iOS devices) without visiting any of the facilities.

Visits can be scheduled between 7:30 am and 10:00 pm.

For attorneys, their access is through this website. To complete the registration, a BAR card must be brought to either facility for verification. Officials add that once the verification is complete, visits can then be scheduled on the website.

Attorney visits have a requirement of 24-hour notice. BAR card numbers can be used as the user ID number when registering.
