El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Partners with Horses Unlimited Rescue
In an effort to enhance awareness and education of our equine companions in El Paso, Sheriff Richard D. Wiles and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Horses Unlimited Rescue and Education Center, Inc.
Horses Unlimited works with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Animal Welfare Unit by housing and rehabilitating abused and neglected horses.
Under the care of Horses Unlimited, rescues are kept up to date on their immunizations and they are nursed back to healthy weight. The center also trains or retrains the horses to be docile around other animals and rideable for children and adults.
Additionally, the center offers many programs and events throughout the year for members of our community to enjoy. This week, center will be kicking off their Barrels, Poles and Flags practice events for 2019, on February 23, 2019, at 9:00 am.
The event is free for spectators and prices for participants are as follows: Entry Fee $25 for Non-Members / $20 for Members. Practices $4 for Non-Members / $2 for Members. Member fee is $40, renewal fees are $20.
All events will be hosted at the center located at 15415 Buck Wheat Street. For more information, residents can contact Horses Unlimited at (915) 491-7653
