El Paso County Sheriff’s Office ‘Santa with a Badge’ gets underway

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is kicking off the “Santa with a Badge” Toy Drive in a big way, thanks in part to a large donation they received in October.

“Thanks to the donation received from the Hotel Paso Del Norte, the Meyers Family, and the Aguilar Family in October, this year’s Santa with a Badge will start with a bang!” EPCSO officials shared Monday morning.

According to program officials, the $25,000 donation will help organizers meet their goal of 3000 gifts for the children of the Segundo Barrio and the unincorporated areas of El Paso County this Christmas season.

Even with the generous donation, officials are looking to make the holiday season memorable for even more area children.

Officials will be collecting toys from November 30, 2020 – December 22, 2020, for community members who wish to donate a new unwrapped toy or make a monetary donation, they can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office Community Services Section at Sheriff’s Office Headquarters – 3850 Justice Drive in far-East El Paso.
