El Paso County Sheriff’s Office’s 2019 Youth Academy now accepting applications

Sheriff Richard Wiles and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office are inviting local teens with an interest in law enforcement to participate in the upcoming 2019 Youth Academy.

The academy is scheduled for July 8-12, 2019.

The purpose of the Sheriff’s Office Youth Academy is to introduce young men and women in our community to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in a positive and informative manner.

The academy consists of presentations, demonstrations, videos, and tours from the various Sheriff’s Office departments.

The academy is open to anyone between the ages of 13-18, who have not completed high school. Class size is limited to 25 participants, so prospective attendees are encouraged to submit their application today.

Registration packets can be picked up at the following locations:

Sheriff’s Headquarters – 3850 Justice Dr. / 538-2119

Clint Station – 190 N. San Elizario / 851-3287
Vinton Station – 436 E. Vinton / 886-2724
