Friday night, the El Paso Coyotes will take on one of the best teams in the Major Arena Soccer League: the Monterrey Flash .
After dropping two straight games at home against the Tacoma Stars and the Rio Grande Valley Barracudas, El Paso is now 3-8 and in last place in the Southwest Division. The Flash, meanwhile, are in first place in the same division at 6-2.
The Juárez Cuervos, the Coyotes’ newly created developmental team, will open the action at 4:15 p.m. when they face the New Mexico Runners in a MASL 2 matchup.
The Cuervos, boasting a seven-game win streak, are 7-1 and in first place in the Mountain Division. The Runners (1-4) are in last place in the division.
After the game, the Coyotes will hit the road for four straight matchups, while the Cuervos will play two away games. Both teams will not return home until March 8.
The Coyotes will battle the Flash at 7:15 p.m. Friday, February 8, at the Coliseum located at 4100 East Paisano. Tickets cost $12 for general admission and $18 for box seats. They are available at the Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
