El Paso Downtown Management District Board Appoints Eight Members

The El Paso Downtown Management District (DMD) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Eight members to the Board.

The eight appointments include one re-appointment and 6 new appointments to full three-year terms. The eighth appointment fills an unexpired term caused by the resignation of a past member.

The appointments are as follows:

Reappointment: Joanne Richardson

New Appointments: Maxey Scherr, Manuel Burke, Yolanda Giner, Kristi Daugherty, Guillermo Garcia, and Patrick Merrick

Appointment to Unexpired Term: Jose Garcia

All appointed members possess the qualifications outlined by Chapter 375, including being at least 18 years old and having a connection within the District as either a resident, property owner, stock owner, beneficiary of a trust that owns property, or as an agent, employee, or tenant of property owners. Furthermore, each candidate brings valuable experience in at least one of the statutorily mandated areas, including energy matters, commercial banking, real estate development, finance and insurance matters, matters relating to retail or service provision, provision of utilities, or general district-related issues.

The El Paso Downtown Management District is confident that these individuals will contribute significantly to the advancement of the district’s goals and objectives. Their dedication and expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Downtown El Paso.

Outgoing DMD Board Members include: Sam Legate, Y.I. Santoscoy, Jamie Gallagher, Ruben Torres, Alejo Restrepo, and Martin Morgades.
