El Paso FD to Host Hands-Only CPR Event Saturday
In conjunction with three schools of the Ysleta Independent School District and the El Paso Masonic Family, the El Paso Fire Department will be teaching hands-only CPR to the public on Saturday Aug. 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge Hall parking lot located at 1808 Hunter Dr.
“We wanted to help the community near our lodge,” said Lt. Divenus Parker. “We do numerous events throughout the year throughout the city, but this is the first in our neighborhood.”
Additionally, the Masonic Family will be giving free basic school supplies to needy families in the Del Norte Elementary, Hacienda Heights Elementary and Bel Air Middle populations.
There will also be free food, drinks, music, games, jumping balloons, a voter registration booth and a fire truck display.
Families are encouraged to bring their school supply list to assist with the process.
