Officials with El Paso Health (EPH) announced Friday the launch of its Youth Volunteer program.
“El Paso Health values the important role our youth have to improve the healthcare delivery system,” said Frank Dominguez, CEO of El Paso Health. “Young people have powerful voices and passion for making their community a healthy place to live and get an education.”
Coordinators say that volunteers between 13 and 18 years of age will join a team of dedicated individuals who are focused on elevating the community through education about health and well-being. Volunteers will also help staff EPH’s services to charitable, educational, and other community events in El Paso County.
“The EPH Youth Volunteers will have an opportunity to assist EPH staff at health fairs, food distributions, and car seat installation events,” said Rosalinda Medina, CARE Solutions Manager at EPH. “We will also encourage our volunteers to write articles for our monthly Member Newsletter on health topics that are pertinent to our community.”
