El Paso High Celebrates 100 Years of Excellence in Military Tonight

El Paso High continues its Centennial Celebration with a legacy series on “100 years of Excellence in Military,” Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 7pm at El Paso High School R.R Jones Stadium (800 E. Schuster Ave) Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

El Paso High School Alumni is celebrating the 100th birthday of the National Historic Building and is honoring EPHS service men and women.

The program features military history including distinguished EPHS graduates like James “Buster” Biggs, Class of 1917, for whom Biggs Army Airfield was named,  Lt William Dean Hawkins, USMC, Class of 1931, WWII Medal of Honor recipient (posthumous), and others up through the current conflicts in the Middle East.

The interactive portion of the program will include several drill teams, the music of the 1st Armored Division Band, and a Review of the EPHS JROTC Cadets.  For additional information call 449-5720.
