El Paso Hockey Association to join NAPHL 14U Showcase Division

The El Paso Hockey Association announced Thursday that they will be joining the NAPHL and participating in the 14U Showcase Division for the upcoming 2021-2022 season.

“This is a huge opportunity to showcase the talent of our players to the country and will also guide in the development of our association as a whole,” said Hayden Kowalski, Youth Hockey Director for the El Paso Hockey Association. “This is the next step in developing our players to play against top-tier talent and eventually have them move on to play in the NA3HL and NAHL.”

Corey Heon, General Manager of the El Paso Rhinos Jr. Hockey Team added, “This is a great opportunity to further develop our youth – giving our players another platform to grow and mature as players is the ultimate goal. It is a very exciting time for our program.”

El Paso Hockey Association’s 14U NAPHL Showcase team will attend three showcase events throughout the upcoming season: Blaine, MN, Detroit, MI, and Frisco, TX.

Organizers add that the team will have unique opportunities throughout the season to elevate their training, develop their skills, and showcase their talents to the rest of the country.  More information will be released in the upcoming weeks.

The NAPHL has established itself, over the past 12 years, as a premier grounds for development and exposure.  This past season, a record number 55 players from the NAPHL were tendered to play in the NAHL for the 2020-2021 season.

Additionally, a remarkable 120 NAPHL players played in the NAHL this past season.
