El Paso ISD asks Residents for Input via Innovation Survey

To increase local control and promote innovation to improve educational outcomes for the benefit of students and the community, the El Paso ISD Board of Trustees adopted a Resolution to Initiate the Process of Designation as a District of Innovation as defined by the 84th Legislative Session in House Bill 1842.

The Board appointed a Local Innovation Committee to draft a Local Innovation Plan, which will provide for a comprehensive educational program for the District and identify the requirements imposed by the Texas Education Code that inhibit the goals of the Plan from which the District should be exempt.

The Local Innovation Committee seeks resident’s input on innovative ideas to improve educational outcomes.
