El Paso ISD high schools will offer on-campus COVID-19 vaccine to students

On Thursday, the El Paso Independent School District in partnership with Immunize El Paso announced the launch the Vaccinate Before You Graduate Campaign aimed at having as many eligible high-school students receive the COVID-19 vaccine before the end of May.

“We are looking forward to celebrating graduations and the end of the school year with an additional sense of safety,” said Alana Bejarano, EPISD’s Director of Health Services.

Immunize El Paso will offer free vaccines to eligible students and their families, as well as faculty and staff, at each campus. Participants will receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine and an appointment for a second dose later in the summer.

All students aged 16 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine. Students under the age of 18 must have parental consent. Students are also asked to bring an official form of identification and a health insurance card if they have it.
