El Paso ISD Parents Can Now Access On Line Training Site

Parents who wish to boost their tech skills, learn more about college readiness for students or even improve their career skills have a new avenue to learn thanks to a new online portal EPISD has made available to them.

Hoonuit, an online training site that has helped EPISD students and employees improve their teaching and learning skills, is now free and open to use for any EPISD parent.

“EPISD parents have access to the same tools as their children. They can work on job skills or take a course on financial literacy,” said Tim Holt, EPISD Director of Technology Innovation and Pilot Programs. “It’s another service the District provides for the community, and we want parents to know it’s available to them.”

The site offers classes and hundreds of training sessions to fine-tune career and soft skills such as resume and cover letter writing and job interview tips. Other classes focus on college readiness, technology and even health and wellness.

“Another great thing about these trainings is a lot of them have closed captioning in Spanish,” Holt said. “We want every single parent to take advantage of this great learning resource.”

To log in, go to Hoonuit and use the following credentials:

  • Username: EPISDParent
