El Paso ISD to provide school supplies to students; Dress code modified as well

Officials with El Paso ISD announced that the District has posted a list of school supplies for the 2021-22 school year, now including those supplies that will be provided by the district; as well as a modified dress code.

“The list is short by design, as EPISD will provide any other required school supply not listed below free of charge to the student or parent,” officials notified the public and parents.
“The uniform supply list and the provision of supplies by the District is an effort by EPISD to bring some financial relief to our families. If you have any further questions about school supplies, please feel free to contact your child’s school.”
Additionally, district officials announced an easing of the dress code at most El Paso ISD schools, also to help families.  The announcement was posted on their website, as well as sent to parents in a letter.
In an effort to ease the financial burden the return to classes may create on families, EPISD is altering its uniform policies for the 2021-22 school year.
Elementary and middle schools with uniform policies will allow students to wear jeans as well as khakis, as long as the jeans do not have tears or holes in them. Students may also wear school T-shirts or T-shirts with the school colors instead of polo shirts. Shirts may be purchased at any location.
High schools will continue to use the approved dress code for the 2021-22 school year.
