Friday morning, officials with the El Paso Independent School District confirmed that two students and an employee who have been on three different campuses have tested positive for COVID-19.
The students attended Brown and Terrace Hills Middle Schools. The employee works at Burges High School.
“As outlined in EPISD’s School Reopening Guidelines, the District has notified all students and personnel of the cases. However, all incidents were determined to be low-risk exposure,” district officials shared via an emailed news release.
Friday’s announcement caps off a nearly two week span where EPISD has announced a total of ten cases across four other campuses in the district.
To abide by federal privacy laws, EPISD will not disclose the name, gender or any other information of the student.
