Sunday afternoon, officials with the El Paso Independent School District confirmed that a student and a staff member who had been on campus tested positive for COVID-19.

District officials shared that the student attends El Paso High School and the employee works at Burges High School.

“As outlined in EPISD’s School Reopening Guidelines, the District has notified all EPHS and Burges students and personnel who had contact with the infected individuals and must quarantine for 14 days to monitor for symptoms.
