El Paso ISD’s Alpha Initiative launches Operation: Warm Hearts
Wednesday afternoon, officials with El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) Alpha Initiative – in partnership with Joe, Vinny & Bronsons Bohemian Café – announced the launch of Operation: Warm Hearts
Operation: Warm Hearts drive provides a donation of a child-size winter clothing, hygiene products and PPE benefiting the El Paso Child Crisis Center and the YWCA Sara McKnight Transitional Living Center.
The drive begins Wednesday and will run through December 17.
Donations of new winter clothing (jackets, pants, shirts, socks, beanies, gloves, shoes), hygiene products (diapers, wipes) and PPE (face
masks and hand sanitizer) can be dropped off at one of the sites accepting donations.
“The donations will help both child-serving centers cope with the upcoming winter weather and offset a potential decline in donations due to the pandemic,” organizers shared.
Drop-off sites are open during school hours. The sites are:
• Joe, Vinny & Bronsons Bohemian Café, 824 N. Piedras (weekend and extended hours).
• Andress High School main office, 5400 Sun Valley.
• Burges High School library, 7800 Edgemere.
• Chapin High School, 7000 Dyer.
• Franklin High School, 900 N. Resler.
• Silva Health Magnet High School, 121 Val Verde.
