El Paso Museum of History Celebrates DIGIE Month
The El Paso Museum of History (EPMH) invites the community to celebrate DIGIE (Digital Information Gateway In El Paso) with a variety of free events and programs throughout the month that encourage the community to learn more about DIGIE and the importance of archiving, sharing, and preserving personal histories.
DIGIE is celebrating seven years in our community with the following programming:
Digital Wall Scavenger Hunt
Month-long scavenger hunt available in person or online
Historias: Stories from El Paso – El Paso’s Black History
Share your experience and help curate a virtual exhibition about our community, by our community. Submit photographs, artwork, or oral histories along with a caption/description of 500 words or less to a virtual exhibit in DIGIE
Merienda Talk: Digitize My History – February 16, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Join EPMH for an interactive Merienda talk and learn about archiving, sharing and preserving personal histories
DIGIE Day: Share Your History Day – February 26, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Museum Registrar will be available to help scan and caption a max of five images to be uploaded to the community digital archive, DIGIE. To RSVP, call (915) 212-3165 or email RSVP.epmh@elpasotexas.gov
