El Paso Public Library to Host Multi-Cultural Holiday Programs

The El Paso Public Library will host a wide range of holiday events throughout December that celebrate the many cultures in El Paso.

“December is a month of multicultural holiday celebrations. We wanted our programming to encourage people of all social and cultural backgrounds to participate in these celebrations to promote learning and understanding,” said El Paso Public Library Director Mark Pumphrey.

More than 70 free, holiday events will be held throughout library branches and will be accompanied by stories, crafts and refreshments. Holiday events include:

  • Santa Claus annual visit to libraries. Parents will be able to take pictures of their children with Santa and children may share their Christmas wish lists.
  • Programs for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa feature children’s stories about each cultural celebration, as well as crafts and other activities.

For more information on all of the free events, including dates and locations, call (915) 212-READ or visit the El Paso Public Library website.
