El Paso Rhinos face Tulsa Jr. Oilers at Coliseum Events Center starting Friday
The El Paso Rhinos are looking to get back on track in their highly competitive division in the Western States Hockey League this weekend.
The Rhinos will take on the Tulsa Jr. Oilers in a WSHL Mid-Western Division three-game home series at the El Paso County Coliseum Events Center, 4100 E. Paisano. The games are set for 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, Feb. 24-25, and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.
El Paso, 32-11, is in third place in the Mid-Western Division, after losing three straight to league-leader Oklahoma City. The Rhinos have been guided by forwards Chaseton Sare, with 37 goals and 87 points, and Alex Johanson with 37 goals and 76 points.
Tulsa, 13-32 and in fifth place, looks to forward Bogden Shleev and his 25 goals and 47 points.
Saturday’s game will feature the popular Jersey Off Our Backs promotion, where fans can buy raffle tickets for a chance to win a game-worn jersey. The Rhinos’ featured top will be a throwback El Paso Buzzards jersey, the city’s first professional hockey team.
Then, on Sunday, the unique Paint the Ice promotion will take place, where fans can join players in the rink after the game to draw on the ice. The cost is only $5.
Tickets are $5 for general admission, $7 for Black Section, $10 for Grey Section, $15 for Orange Section, $25 for Glass Section, $30 for Balcony and free for military with ID.
