El Paso Rhinos Return to Face Ontario Avalanche Starting Friday

After spending more than a month on the road, the El Paso Rhinos return to their home ice for a Western States Hockey League three-game home series against the Ontario Avalanche.

The Rhinos skate back home boasting a 27-7-2 record, earning the top spot in Mid-Western Division and are on a four-game win streak after sweeping the Wichita Thunder on the road this past weekend.

The team scored a combined 31 goals, while goalies Nils Velm, Lane Timmons and Colin Woods allowed only five goals in the three-game series.

The Avalanche, meanwhile, are 12-21 and in fourth place in the Western Division.

The games are set for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, January 25-26, and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, January 27, at the El Paso County Coliseum Events Center, 4100 East Paisano.

Tickets start at $5 and are available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000, online and at the Coliseum Events Center Ticket Booth, which opens one hour before game time.
