With their upcoming Community Healing Resource Fair, the El Paso United Family Resiliency Center (FRC), a program of United Way of El Paso aims to provide a one-stop event where community members can learn of the on-going services that encouraging long-term healing, resiliency, and unity.
“By bringing different 30+ organizations together, the FRC hopes to inform El Pasoans of free healing resources, that range from traditional therapy and counseling, non-traditional therapies, fitness memberships, wellness, and education to anyone in our community,” organizers shared.
The Community Healing Resource Fair will also serve as an opportunity for organizations to showcase their services in-person. According to officials, thanks to community partnerships, attendees will be able to join yoga classes, meditation sessions, music therapy, art therapy and many more.
Organizers add that the free event, hosted at the El Paso Convention Center, will take place on September 28th from 9AM- 2PM. Visitors of the Community Healing Resource Fair will be entered to a raffle where many surprises may be won.
The El Paso United Family Resiliency Center (FRC) is a program led by the United Way of El Paso County, dedicated to serve those who were impacted directly or indirectly by August 3rd, 2019.
The FRC is comprised of resiliency navigators who through personalized case management connect individuals and families to credible programs and services that address their specific needs. The FRC also hosts a variety of events and programming that allow for a shared healing process.
