El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank announces two new primary distribution sites

El Pasoans Fighting Hunger announced Thursday the opening of two new pantry distribution sites, set to open next week.

“The food bank has secured two new locations that will be primary pantry distribution locations for the food bank,” officials shared. “EPFH will be running these locations.”

Officials add that both locations will be cart-style distribution sites similar to the model used at the food bank.

West:  5300 Doniphan – Beginning Tuesday, October 13

Monday – Friday 2-6pm

The owner of the old Big 8 grocery store, who is public spirited, is donating the use of the space. There is plenty of space at the site to facilitate the distribution, including a very large parking lot.

Northeast: Nolan Richardson Recreation Center  |  4435 Maxwell Drive  – Beginning Thursday, October 15

Monday – Friday 8a-12p

This location is a city recreation center that has been closed due to COVID.  It is a bit smaller, but has enough space to fit a cart-style distribution, and a parking lot for about 50 cars.
