El Pasoans Fighting Hunger recruiting ‘Hunger Warriors’

El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and Texas Service Corps Equal Hearts AmeriCorps announced Wednesday that they are recruiting twenty-five individuals to serve as AmeriCorps members at the food bank to assist in reducing community hunger.

Officials with the food bank share that recruits will need to sign on to a service commitment of 300 hours total, 30 hours per week are required.

Benefits include a living allowance of $2,250.00 and an education award of $1,311.11 at the end of the program.

Service Dates are June 21 through August 27, 2021. Service will take place at the food bank, 9541 Plaza Circle.

Requirements: Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

✔ Available for the entire duration of the program

✔ 17 years old or older by program start date

✔ U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

✔ Commitment to serve the community and fight hunger!
