Staffers and volunteers help move KNCs items from their Texas Street Location

El Paso’s Kids-n-Co Looking for New Home

El Paso KIDS-N-CO. will no longer be at their location on 1301 Texas Street, near Downtown El Paso.

According to officials with the children’s theater company, the owners of the building have decided to go in a different direction, so KIDS-N-CO. will be searching for a new home.

The time and expense of moving more than 10 years of accumulation with costumes, building materials, furniture, arts & crafts supplies, sewing supplies, lumber, chairs, stage lights, and everything it takes to make a continuously running theater, is quite expensive and overwhelming.

Arrangements had to be made for storage, coordination for current and upcoming performances & auditions, rearranging Saturday Acting Class schedules, and planning Summer camp, which left very little time to actively raise funds, leaving the coffers low.

In addition to paying the lease of the building that’s being evacuated, KIDS-N-CO. has had to pay fees in the facilities being used, as well as rent for storage.

Auditions for “Cinderella,” the musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein, will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday, April 3 & 4, at Bethel Temple Ministries at 6301 Alabama.

Officials say, “With a little help from their friends, KIDS-N-CO. is looking forward to this new stage in their theater careers.”

KIDS-N-CO. needs the community’s help in looking for a new home, and help in funding the youth programs. Donations will be eagerly accepted. They can be mailed to El Paso KIDS-N-CO., P.O. Box 971333, El Paso, TX 79997.
