Environmental Services Department announces Neighborhood Cleanup 2019

The City of El Paso’s Environmental Services Department (ESD) and the Streets and Maintenance Department are teaming up to host the 2019 Neighborhood Cleanup.

This year’s event is set for Saturday, September 28, 2019.

The annual event will take place from 7:30 am to noon in various neighborhoods throughout the community. This event allows El Paso residents to get rid of unwanted items from their homes and yards while making a difference in their community.

Citywide there will be a total of 25 designated cleanup sites, which will include roll-off trash containers where citizens can dispose of large and bulky items such as mattresses, furniture, or yard waste.

Citizens may call 3-1-1 or click here for a listing of cleanup locations in their area; the full list is below.

This cleanup event and other efforts of the Environmental Services Department supports the City of El Paso’s strategic goal to nurture and promote a healthy, sustainable community.

For more information on how you can take part of this event or any future clean up around the city or for locations of Citizen Collection Stations, please visit the ESD’s website or call 3-1-1

Roll-off dumpsters will NOT accept the following items, which may be taken to any of the City’s five Citizen Collection Stations:

  • Tires
  • Household hazardous waste materials (paint, motor oil, and chemicals)
  • E-waste (cell phones, appliances, computers, etc.)
  • Batteries of any kind
