The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department (ESD) along with various El Paso neighborhood associations and volunteers will come together on Saturday, March 23 to participate in the Great American Clean Up.
This national event, developed by Keep America Beautiful, is the country’s largest organized cleanup, beautification, and community improvement program. An estimated 20,000 communities will participate nationwide.
The citywide event will run from 7:30 a.m. to noon, and residents are invited join in the community beautification effort. There will be various cleanup sites located throughout El Paso, and roll-off trash containers will be placed at more than 20 locations to make it easy for citizens to dispose of extra household trash and large or bulky items such as mattresses, furniture or yard waste.
Roll-off dumpsters will not be accepting the following items: tires, household hazardous waste materials (paint, motor oil, and chemicals), E-waste (cell phones, appliances, computers, etc.), and batteries of any kind.
Residents can dispose of these materials by taking them to any Citizen Collection Station (CCS) located throughout the city. CCS visitors will need to present a recent water bill and matching I.D.
