Holocaust Museum’s “Stand Up. Speak Out. – Everyone Can Be a Hero” Camp Set for July

The El Paso Holocaust Museum‘s (EPHM) “Stand Up. Speak Out. – Everyone Can Be a Hero,” summer camp will focus on young people who used their words, their art, their music, and more to courageously protest injustice during the Holocaust while expressing their identity and individuality.

Via a Facebook post, EPHM officials talked about the focus of the upcoming summer camp.

“Drawing inspiration from their bravery and creative activism, EPHM’s summer camp will explore what these young people did to make a difference, in order to empower today’s youth to find their voice, to stand up, and speak out about what matters to them today.”

“Through fun hands-on activities, games, art, music, special guests, and more, camp participants will not only learn amazing stories from the past and the individuals who lived them, but they will also learn how everyone can be a hero- no matter their age,” EPHM officials added.

Scholarships are available to cover all registration fees; to find out more, interested residents can contact Jamie Flores at 915.351.0048.
