Newly Renamed Springfoot Marathon Organizers remind Runners, Groups about New Events

While the name may have changed, organizers say the Springfoot Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5K Run/Walk will continue to support the community via several all-new events.

Springfoot officials say that their charitable efforts made possible by the previous marathons,  include close to $200,000 in charitable contributions during the past nine years, will now include family and kids events.

They added, “Our new brand represents a reinvigorated mission to organize a first class marathon that promotes health and fitness in the community, brings tourism to the region of El Paso and provides support to local and national non-profit organizations.”

In addition to the Springfoot Marathon, organizers have added a Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk. While it’s a competitive long distance run, the 5K Run/Walk allows for fitness enthusiasts of all levels and families/friends to join in a fun and non-competitive manner.

Additionally, Crave Restaurants & Springfoot announced two new marathon-related events designed to provide a little extra incentive to participate in this year’s event, The Crave Springfoot Team Fun Run & the Crave Springfoot Kid’s Dash.

The Crave Springfoot Team Fun Run will be part of the 5K Run/Walk and participants will need to be in groups of five runners/walkers or more in order to be eligible. While it won’t be a competitive run, there will be prize packages for different group categories. Category options are as follows:
