The El Paso Zoo gives guests the chance to celebrate at the Zoo by hosting an After Howlers event.
The July 8 event features a sports theme and encourages all guest to wear jerseys, shirts, hats, etc. from their favorite professional sports team/superstar.
The UTEP Athletics Marketing Department is a sponsor of the event and will be there having fun with the guests. Activities also include two large inflatables, food trucks, Odd Lab performing an aerial show, a fire show, and a flow jam workshop for kids.
Guests are able to get up close and personal with some of the Zoo’s animals, as well as meet zookeepers and witness animal enrichments. These enrichments provide the animals opportunities to exhibit their natural behaviors like climbing, digging, and even playing.
Zoo officials say, “They are fun to watch and are a reminder of one of the Zoo’s goals—to act and communicate with the purpose of inspiring people to value wild animals and to take responsibility for their safeguarding and action for their stability.”
