EP Zoo set to host Elephant Festival this weekend

The El Paso Zoo will be hosting its annual Elephant Festival Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. featuring the Zoo’s own Asian elephants, Savannah and Juno.

Bring your herd to join the stampede celebrating Savannah and Juno at the El Paso Zoo’s Elephant Festival!

Party with the pachyderms 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, 2015, for TONS of fun for everyone! Guests can watch as the elephants enjoy bubble baths and special enrichment treats. Animal enrichment is provided to animals to provide mental and physical stimulation in their daily lives. See how much Savannah and Juno enjoy bubbles!

Fun and interactive discovery stations, live entertainment and activities provide a higher quality of life for our community through this educational and recreational opportunity throughout the day. Activities include a kids craft, Asia market bazaar shopping carts, Asian eats and treats and more! Enjoy a belly dancing demonstration and contest, and end the day with a special concert for the elephants with the Carillon String Quartet. Elephant Festival is TONS of fun for everyone!
