EPCC Offers Free Office Skills Training

El Paso Community College (EPCC)  Center for Corporate and Workforce Training is offering free transferable skills training. The program is open to military, military spouses, veterans, women and minorities.

The 18-week Workforce Professional Skills Certification Training Program trains students in the areas of office technology, project management, interpersonal skills, employment skills and job search/retention. Applicants must have a High School Diploma/GED and a 10th grade reading level.

Participants who complete the training may be eligible to obtain a National Microsoft Office Specialist Certification.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to provide professional skills training to military, military spouses, women, and minorities,” says Luz Taboada, Center Director. “These transferrable skills allow participants to open more doors and obtain better employment in a very competitive market.”

The program is funded by a grant from the Prudential Foundation.
