Paulina Herbert, sophomore student from the El Paso Community College (EPCC) was named 2021 Miss Nuestra Reina Hispana on September 19, 2021.
The 2021 pageant was the inaugural event for Nuestra Reina Hispana.
Paulina is a native El Pasoan and works at the EPCC New Student Orientation department as Orientation Leader. She plans on transferring to The University of Texas at El Paso to pursue a career in Education.
Besides creating an impact in the classroom, her goal is to advocate for people in her community. She promotes body positivity and brings awareness to body shaming. Proud of her Hispanic heritage, she encourages Hispanic women to follow their dreams.
“I am honored to hold this title and make my city proud,” said Paulina Herbert. “As Miss Nuestra Reina Hispana, I will encourage women to love and be the best version of themselves!”
“As Paulina Herbert was crown Miss Nuestra Reina Hispana 2021, I was reminded of all the hard work Paulina put in to get to that level,” Alex Guerrero, Assistant Director of New Student Orientation said.
“Paulina constantly shows her exceptional work ethic by being a straight-A student, serving as an NSO Orientation Leader, model, actress, and social media influencer. I do not doubt that this is just the beginning of a beautiful career where she will use her spotlight to help others reach their dreams.”
Pageant officials share that Nuestra Reina Hispana was created so young Latin girls and women could experience a sisterhood, women empowering other women, self-development, build confidence, and a lifetime of memories.
The next step for Paulina is competing at nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada for the title of Nuestra Belleza USA.
