El Paso Community College (EPCC) kicked off its awareness campaign to students, staff and community of its role as an educational leader in the nation with EPCC Pride Day.
“April is Community College Month which provides an opportunity to reflect with pride on the value EPCC brings to our community,” Dr. William Serrata, EPCC President said. “EPCC offers a pathway to economic success—and an opportunity for quality and affordable education—to first generation college students, veterans, single parents and anyone looking to achieve their dreams and advance their skills.”
Held on April 4th at the Valle Verde campus, EPCC Pride Day was full of educational and fun activities for all who attended.
EPCC Pride Day is just the beginning of what will become EPCC Pride Wednesdays. Students, faculty staff and community are encouraged to wear EPCC gear to show pride and awareness in their community college.
EPCC’s community pride was showcased on April 3rd as the El Paso City Council recognized the college’s work. The El Paso County Commissioners will recognize EPCC on April 23rd.
Internally through the month, EPCC will headline the dedication of its staff who have reached milestones in their careers with Recognition Luncheons on April 13th and 20th.
